Our Course Design

The Classroom Connect team designs courses based on evidence-based guidelines and best practices in elearning. Our courses integrate the latest instructional methods and media elements. They provide teachers an instructional pathway to understand how to implement our HMH print and digital programs. Each course is comprised of three learning components—Quick Look, Learning Paths and Explore Further.
Quick Look - an overview of the HMH program
Learning Paths - key modules covering how to teach a lesson, differentiate instruction, integrate digital content and use assessment to inform instruction
Explore Further - a virtual classroom using guided discovery of key topics related to program components and instructional strategies
Whether you follow the prescribed path or explore on your own, these learning components provide a solid understanding of how to use Houghton Mifflin Harcourt programs effectively in the classroom.

Our Course Orientation

To provide the best opportunity for teachers to complete our implementation courses efficiently, we have created a short orientation module available on each course website. The module covers such topics as course navigation, technical requirements, course design, program materials and more.
